Michael Lon Reynolds, 81, of Flint, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025. She was born on May 4, 1944.
Michael was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her vibrant spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family and all living creatures. A lifelong Catholic, Michael embraced life with enthusiasm, whether she was swimming or simply engaging in conversation, as she truly never met a stranger.
She was a proud graduate of St. Michael’s High School, where she was honored as Homecoming Queen. Michael continued her education, earning her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. Her professional life began as a dedicated educator, teaching at St. Henry’s High School in Nashville, Tennessee. Michael later transitioned into a successful career in the insurance business, where she worked for several prominent companies including Rogers Benefit Group, United Healthcare, Principal Agency, Delta Dental, and Reynolds Ins., before her well-deserved retirement.
Michael was preceded in death by her loving parents, Edwin Patrick Burleson and Jimmy June Burleson, and her brother-in-law, Dick (Richard) Marr.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John G. Reynolds and sister Jann Marr. Michael’s legacy lives on through her cherished sons, Zack Van Arsdale (Andie), Austin Van Arsdale (Leah). Michael had two stepchildren, Brett M. Reynolds (Caryn), and Justin G. Reynolds (Amber). She was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Michael’s kindness, generosity, and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her sons, Zach and Austin will be forever grateful to her, for her priceless guidance throughout their lives.
