Funeral services will be Monday June 11, 2018 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday June 10th from 3 to 8 PM.
Mr. Murry Michael “Mike” Stewart, age 75 of Dickson, TN died Tuesday June 5, 2018. Born in Omaha, NE he was the son of the late Murry L. and Imogene Ivory Stewart. Mike worked for the Oakland Police Dept. in California where he retired as a Lieutenant after 20 years of service. He later worked for Stewart Lumber Co. and then for the Hickman County Codes and Zoning. Mike was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also, a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 39 ½ years, Rebecca “Becky” Stewart of Dickson, TN; son, Michael Brent Stewart of Sacramento, CA; daughters, Kristin Michelle Stewart of Orange, CA, Marie Felicia Wright (Kevin) of Dickson, TN; brother, E.W. Stewart of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Cameron, Christian and Chance Shelby, Ashley Spicer (Noah), Kalista, Elijah, Arianna, and Ezekiel Wright and 4 other grandchildren; one great grandson. Lyric Shelby and another great grandchild on the way; aunt, Roberta Brown of Dickson, TN, nephew, Christopher Stewart of California and many cousins.
