Funeral services will be Friday June 28, 2019 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Sesler officiating. Place of rest will be in Parker-Fowlkes Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday June 28 th from 12 PM until time of service.
Mr. Orville Ford Fowlkes, age 88 of Texas formerly of Vanleer, TN died Sunday June 23, 2019 in Texas. He was born on April 19, 1931 in Dickson County to the late Carl and Beulah Lankford Fowlkes. He enjoyed watching baseball and football and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 of his siblings.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Demura (Dennis) of Winfree, TX; sons, J.R. Stewart (Della) of Clinton Township, MI, Garry Stewart (Clarissa) of Vanleer, TN, Ray Stewart (Cindy) of Michigan; siblings, Ruth Hall, Kenneth Fowlkes, Magdaline Vineyard; 17 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren.
