Peter Francis Meagher Schaffer, age 51, of Dickson, TN, passed away on July 19, 2022 at home.
Born on November 14, 1970, in Oswego, NY to John and Alice Schaffer, Peter was the fifth of eight children. After graduating from high school in Alpena, MI, and attending Northern Michigan University he went on to become a master plumber and intrepid entrepreneur. His greatest contribution to this world was his expansive and generous heart, his free spirit and his fierce, undying love for the people in his life. Peter was a storyteller, a dreamer and a poet. His selfless love and passionate spirit made him a fearless risk taker and a tireless worker. Peter’s spirit is now soaring freely among the heavens, enveloped in the arms of his father, John Schaffer, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Schaffer, his siblings, Mary (Chris Beckmann), Elizabeth, John, Matt (Jaimie Marconi) Tim (Robin Snyder), David (Amber Scramlin) and Stephen Schaffer; as well as sixteen nieces and nephews. We love you always and forever, Peter, and we will see you again someday. “You turned out real good!”.
