Mrs. Rachel Harrison Eads, age 88, of Dickson, TN died peacefully January 12, 2023 at NHC of Dickson.

She was born in Stewart County, the daughter of the late Mannie and Mattie Gertrude Shelby Harrison. Mrs. Eads was the widow of the late Ray Junior Eads, who died in April 2004. She worked for the former Shrader Automotive Plant where she was a press operator. She worked there for 16 years before the plant closing in Dickson. She was a member of the Sylvia Baptist Church.

She was a loving wife and doting mother who totally cherished her husband and only child Tim, who was the apple of her eye. Being the proud mother she was, during Tim’s law enforcement career, she always supported her son with reservations. Always concerned for his well- being and safety, she continued to express that motherly love and protection for him. Ms. Rachel always loved her church and doing whatever she could to promote the Christian life to all. From time to time, she loved to have neighborhood fund raisers for the Muscular Dystrophy, which was one of her favorite charities. She was an excellent cook with a german chocolate cake as her signature dessert along with jam cakes and chicken and dumplings.

Survivors include her son; Tim Eads and his wife, Cheryl of Dickson, TN her sister; Leona Grasty of Clarksville, TN, her seven grandchildren; Danielle, Lexy, Lisa, Clint, Christen, Catey and Colton, her seven great grandchildren, Taylor Macayla, Maddy, Quinn, Ivy, Eli and Libby. Several nieces and nephews.
