A graveside service will take place on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Slayden. Rebecca “Kay” Simmons Bell, age 71, of Waverly, TN, passed away on July 7, 2024, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly. She was born on May 19, 1953, in Clarksville, TN, to the late N.W. and Bobbie Ann Welker Simmons. Kay worked for many years as an Inventory Purchasing Agent at Quebecor.
In addition to her parents: she was preceded in death by her sister: Alice Woodall; and her nephew: Eric Mayo.
Survivors include her sons: Scott Grimes (Amy) of Burns, and Randy Grimes of Palmyra; her brother: Jimmy Simmons of Waverly; her sisters: Connie Simmons (Kathy) of New Braunfels, TX, and Anna Mayo (Terry) of Dickson; and her grandchildren: T.J. Grimes (Kalin) of Cookeville, Lauren Grimes of Burns, Justin Grimes of Waverly, Ryan Grimes of Burns, William Grimes of Palmyra, and Brianna Denton of Waverly. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
