Graveside services will be Wednesday May 6, 2020 at 2 PM at Wrigley Cemetery with Tommy Marvin officiating.
Mr. Richard Carroll Martin, age 75 of Lyles, TN died Saturday May 2, 2020. Born in Wrigley, TN he was the son of the late Ed and Lillie Haskins Martin and was preceded in death by his brothers, Levi Odom, Weldon Oldham, Harold Martin, James Martin; sisters, Judy Baggett, Peggy Tidwell. He was a lifetime logger and enjoyed being with his family and grandkids. He enjoyed camping, fishing, watching John Wayne and Andy Griffith.
After a stroke that caused him to have to give up logging Richard enjoyed going out and riding with his friend in his tow truck. Richard never met a stranger and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Kay Sullivan Martin of Lyles, TN; son, Ricky Martin (Kelli) of Dickson, TN; daughter, Christie Simmons (Casey) of Lyles, TN; brother, Roy Oldham (Mary) of Perry Co., TN; sister, Dorothy Hodge (Carl) of Nunnelly, TN; grandson, Justin Martin; granddaughter, Hannah Simmons; several nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
