Funeral services for Mr. Robert Dewey “Bobby” Owens, age 76 of Dickson will be conducted Wednesday July 31, 2013 at 12:00 PM noon at the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy Church with Bro. Gary Riley officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday July 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy Church. Those desiring memorials may be made to the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy Building Fund. Services are under the direction of the Taylor Funeral Home.
Mr. Owens died Monday July 29, 2013 at Horizon Medical Center. Born in Nashville, he was the son of the late George Dewey and Francis Lounelle Evans Owens. He was a retired Metro Nashville Fire Fighter and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy Church.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine “Jean” Owens of Dickson; daughter, Diane Sykes of White Bluff; grandson, Daniel Sykes of Burns; great grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson and Audrey Sykes.
