Roger Dale Daniel, age 67, of White Bluff, TN, died on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Burns Church of Christ, Fellowship Hall, 2718 Church Street, Burns, TN. 37029.
Dale was born October 6, 1957, in Dickson, TN. He was preceded in death by his father Robert James Daniel, his mother Ruth Mash Daniel Brown, and sister Mary Elizabeth Daniel Parrish.
Dale was a devoted husband, father, and “Papa” to his grandchildren. Dale loved his family more than anything and offered his love and support in every aspect of their lives. He loved to go gambling with “ the brothers.” He loved rooting for his Vanderbilt Commodores, although, as the kids joked, he was a closet UT fan. Since his retirement from CSX as a crane operator, Papa loved to travel with his family and play golf.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Vickie Bishop Daniel, his children, Derek (Crystal), Deena (Jeremy Bullard), Dustin (Martha), and Darren (Laurie); his siblings, Robert Jr, David (Brenda), and Dean (Michie); 9 grandchildren, Dylan Daniel, Ella, Leah, and Jace Bullard, Macy Kate and Emmy Reid Daniel, Dalton, Amelia, and Davis Daniel. Mother-in-law, Joyce Bishop; sisters-in-law, Tammy Rogan (Robert), and Glenda Bishop (Holly). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
