Ronald Orval Thomas – Age 51 of Dickson passed away on August 18, 2017.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday beginning at 10am with a memorial service at 11am from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Miller officiating. Inurnment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Ronald is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Bulthuis Thomas; maternal grandparents, Pete & Bernice Bulthuis and Paternal grandparents, Henry & Myrtle Thomas.
He is survived by his father, Orval Thomas (Maryann) of Dickson; brothers, Randy Thomas (Connie George) of Dickson and Robert “Bobby” Thomas (Tracy) of Hixson, TN; sister, Renee Beck (David) of Dickson; nephew, Austin Thomas; niece, Merissa Stolzer; close friends, Joe Almedarez and Howie Wood ; as well as aunts, uncle, and several cousins.
Ronald was a member of First Baptist Church Dickson. He was a quiet, private and giving man. His passions were in animals, music and the simple things of life. He took great pleasure in playing his guitar. Ronald enjoyed the stillness of nature, whether siting by a fire, camping or siting by a creek.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew Ronald, loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dickson County Humane Society.
