Sarah was born on April 18, 1934 in Wrigley, TN. She was a daughter of the late Christopher Columbus “Lummie” Staggs and the late Maggie Choate Staggs. She grew up in the Wrigley community with a large loving family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her happiest times were when the grandchildren and the great grandchildren visited.

Sarah was a great cook and loved to feed her family. She was famous for “Granny’s house on Christmas Eve” where everyone got pajamas, a fuzzy throw and a stocking full of everything you could image.

Her sense of humor and funny expressions kept everyone laughing. Sarah loved to sing and play her Gibson guitar.

She loved God and her church family at Pomona Church of Christ. We have comfort knowing she is in God’s care now.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Tummins; a son, Ronald Wayne McGayhey; a great grandson, Konnor McFarlin; 9 siblings, Elsie Brewer (Noah), Lois Davis (Pete), Virginia Lucille Gossett (“Choate”), Bessie Luther (Bill), Mack Staggs, Paul Staggs, Doris Staggs, Jo Gossett (Ralph), and Lev Staggs.

Mrs. Tummins is survived by her daughter, Inis McFarlin (Mark) of Bon Aqua, TN; her son, Stephen McGahey of Nunnelly, TN; her sister, Judy Edwards (Phillip); 3 grandchildren, Kristie Renea Perry (Jason) of Burns, TN, Jeremy Mark McFarlin (Katie) of Hurricane Mills, TN, and Jaime Eliazbeth Banes (Jody) of Burns, TN; great grandchildren, Kelsey McFarlin, Harmony McFarlin, Paisley Elizabeth Banes, Piper Elizabeth Banes, Nathaniel David Banes, Kayla Renea Andretti (Carlos), Jada Elise Perry, and Kingston Jase Perry.
