Tennie Mai Word, age 85 of Burns, TN died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 3pm until 5pm, and the Wake will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 2pm until time of service at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will be conducted at 4pm at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery.
Mrs. Word died Tuesday July 28, 2015 at her home. Born in Dickson County, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Mable Hall Hughes. She was known for her good cooking and always sharing it with others. She worked with Georgia Springer in her cafe her in Dickson years back and formerly worked in some of the Dickson factories. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Churc
She is survived by her Children, Robert Lewis II and his Wife, Stephanie, Rhonda Eppenger and her Husband, Wilbert Eppenger Sr.), Rochelle Lewis, Ralph Lewis, Robbin Bell; 20 Grandchildren; A host of Great Grandchildren, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews; special friend, Debbie Davis.
