Funeral services for Thomas Vincent “Tommy” Tankersley, age 61 of Nunnelly, will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Henry Anness officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Highway 100, Centerville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service. For those desiring, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Mr. Tankersley died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home.
Born August 25, 1959 in Augusta, Georgia, Tommy was the son of Martha Anne Moore Tankersley (Reeves) and the late William Newton Tankersley, Jr. He owned and operated his own business in Nashville, Altek Aluminum Products. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded by his father and by a brother, Rusty Tankersley.
Survivors include his wife, Regina M. Baker Tankersley, Nunnelly; his daughter, Kellie Colon (Tomas), Fairview, TN; his son, Brandon Tankersley, Franklin, TN; his mother, Martha Anne Reeves, Centerville, TN; “the two best grandbabies ever”, Angelean Colon and Gabriel “Gabe” Colon; brothers, John Edward Tankersley, Italy, and Thomas Reynolds, Dearing, GA; sister, Laurie Foreman (Ken), Prince George, VA; sister-in-law, Joyce Baker, Nashville; nieces and nephews.
