Funeral services for Tommy A. Buttrey, age 76 of Dickson, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Terlecki officiating. Interment will follow in the Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview. Visitation with the family will be Saturday June 29th from 2 to 8 PM. Mr. Buttrey died Thursday, June 27th at his home.
A native of Williamson County, Tommy was the son of the late Monroe and Eula Mable Lankford Buttrey. He was married to Martha Ann Hughes Buttrey, who preceded him in death in September, 2012. He was also preceded by a daughter, Teresa Gail Buttrey. He retired as a materials handler for the Tennsco Corporation.
Survivors include two sons, Darrell Buttrey (Sandra), Douglasville, GA, and Keith Buttrey (Cathy), Dickson; daughter, Cathy Garton, Dickson; brother, Dee Buttrey, Fairview; sisters, Catherine Potter and Nell Proctor, both of Burns; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Brandy, Lacey, Ryan, Danielle, Tracy, and Crystal; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Andrew, and Wallace.
