Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Tucker and Bro. Garvis Semore will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Wade Allen Reed, age 81, of White Bluff, TN died peacefully December 5, 2024, at Vantage Pointe in Ashland City.

He was born in Cheatham County and was the son of the late William Enoch and Sadie Fogus Reed. He attended and graduated from the former Ashland City High School. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Lavar Loudermilk Reed in 2023. They were married for 60 years. Also preceded in death by his brother William “Billy” Reed.

Wade contributed much to the community in which he lived and loved every minute of his work. Work was something that he really liked to do, but his passion was his farming and his rental properties. He retired from Consolidated Freightways where he worked in sales. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Wade served the citizens of Cheatham County for several years on the County Commission of Cheatham County. He was a longtime member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ where he formerly served his church family as Deacon.

Wade is survived by his daughter, Kellye Stephens and her husband Craig of Port Clinton, Ohio and his two granddaughters Kamil Stephens and Canna Stephens.
