Wardell Dennis Hughes, Jr. a.k.a. “Babro” , “Gabby ” or Paw Paw”, age 72 of Burns, TN passed away on June 5, 2020. He was born on June 13, 1947 to the late Wardell D. Hughes, Sr. and Mary Alice Newsom in Dickson, TN. He professed his faith in Christ at Worley Furnace Baptist Church in 2008.
Preceded in death by his wife Cathryn Hughes after 32 years of marriage; Parents Wardell D. Hughes, Sr. and Mary A. Hughes; Brother, Michael R. Hughes; Sisters Alice G. Cook and Jeanice Sue Dickerson (Chubby).
Survivors include his children, Isaac Hinton (Michelle), David Hinton, and Pam Hinton Primm (Ronnie) all of Dickson; his brother, Mark Hughes (Sandra) of Nashville; his sisters, Beverly Lockridge (James), Debra Payton, and Sandra Jones (Bobby) all of Nashville; 9 Grandchildren, 3 Greatgrand children, Aunts Mary Ann Hughes and Annette Yarbrough; an uncle, Albert Lee Simpson; special brother-in-law, James Lockridge; special cousins, Ricky/Elaine Newsom, Preston Mays, and Sammy Newsom; and several special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
