William Ray “Bill” Sellers, age 69, of Fairview, Tennessee, passed away at home surrounded by his family on November 17, 2025.

Born on April 19, 1956, in Nashville, TN, Bill built his life on hard work, loyalty, and deep love for his family.

Born to Robert Sellers and Loraine Cornwell, both of whom preceded him in death, Bill was one of 14 children. He is survived by three siblings and reunited in heaven with the many loved ones who went before him.

Bill married the love of his life, Kathryn Sellers, and together they shared 38 years of marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and countless memories. He was a proud father to Angela Thompson (Noah), Barbara Gill (Michael), Lucinda Andrews (Darin), and Dana Bryant (Sasha). He was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored.

A hardworking man from the very beginning, Bill started working at age 13 and never slowed down. In his early years, he worked at Elm Hill and later at Belle Meade Cafeteria, where he met Kathryn—an encounter that changed his life forever. He devoted 27 years to Porcelain Industries before retiring in 2019.

Bill was a true craftsman at heart. He loved fishing, boating, birdwatching, leather work, and anything that allowed him to work with his hands. He was known for building, fixing, creating, and improving the world around him. His dogs—Ladybug, Nina, and his grand-dog Axel—were cherished companions.

He had a nickname for everyone, rarely using given names, and his quick wit made him the family jokester. More than anything, Bill was a provider—a man who worked tirelessly to care for those he loved. His family was always his greatest priority.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM–8:00 PM.

Additional visitation and funeral services will take place Thursday, November 20, 2025, beginning at 12:00 PM at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, TN.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Taylor Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. Remaining funds will be given to Kathryn Sellers to help with medical and financial needs.

For those wishing to honor Bill’s memory further, the family encourages visiting the ALS Association to learn more or contribute to ALS awareness and research: als.org.

Bill will be remembered for his humor, his unwavering work ethic, and his boundless love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
