Homegoing services will be conducted Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey Norfleet giving her eulogy. Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery
Visitation with her family will be Thursday afternoon, September 24th from 5 p.m. until 7p.m. and on Friday, September 25th beginning at 12 Noon until time of service.
Martha died peacefully September 20, 2015 at St. Thomas-West after several weeks stay.
She was a lifelong resident of Dickson,TN and was the daughter of the late Alvin Marsh and Mary Lucille Nelson. Martha was a faithful, active member of the St. James A.M.E. Church where she served on the Missionary Board. She was also a member of the Women's Tennessee Missionary Conference of A.M.E. and a member of the Lay. She was a great Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend to many. She had that caring ability to make you feel very special. Her gentle smile was a very contagious smile. She was a retired nurses aide with the Veterans Administration Hospital and the former Goodlark Hospital with some 20 years of service.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 56 years, John M. Hall of Dickson,TN, her daughters; June Marquntia Brown of Dickson,TN and Carolyn Brown of Murfreesboro,TN, her sons; Kerry Montrell Hall and Antonie Maurice Hall both of Dickson,TN, her six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, her brothers; William Stacy of Dickson,TN and Mac Nelson of Dickson,TN, her sisters; Maggie Cole of Erin,TN and Carrie Pearl Woods of Nashville,TN, her devoted daughters; Donna Holt-Pollard, Lynn Saunders and Quacji Russ and a host of other relatives and friends.
