Graveside services for William Van “Bill” Knight, age 74 of Dickson, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 from the Leech Cemetery in Charlotte with family and friends delivering eulogies.  Interment, next to his beloved mother will follow.  Mr. Knight died Wednesday, June 1st at his home.

Born in Nashville, Bill was the son of the late Albert Van and Martha Juanita Leech Knight.  An independent auto body mechanic, Bill loved working on cars, and he also built bodies for several NASCARs.  He especially enjoyed fishing and gardening and going to Sisters Restaurant to eat.  His family will long remember him for his love for his mother and the excellent care he provided for her.

He is survived by his five sisters, Bobbie Darlene Slate and Glenda Anne Bojniewicz, both of Dickson, Sandra Kaye “Sandi” Quinif of Madison, Ohio, Judith Lynn Quinif of Dickson, and M. Faye Shepherd of Kansas City, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.  He will also be sorely missed by the “four-legged love of his life,” Sammy.  The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Alive Hospice for their care and concern.
