Margaret Avis Allen Estes, age 84 of Dickson, TN died peacefully June 3, 2023 at NHC of Dickson.
She was born in Charlotte, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late William Oscar and Margaret Bell Brown Allen. She was the widow of the late Walter Billy Estes who died in 1998, at the time of his death they were married 41 years. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Allen and Johnny Roscoe Allen and her great granddaughter, Olivia Grace Moffitt.
Mrs. Estes was a graduate of Charlotte High School. She was a loving wife and mother of three children and 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a longtime member (60 years) of First Baptist Church in Dickson and an active member of the Billy Estes Sunday School Class. She dearly loved her family and the Turkey Creek Community. Mrs. Estes loved her gardening, farming, bee keeping and reading her Bible.
Survivors include her three children, Brenda Estes Steele ( Tim Oliphant), Peggy Estes Littleton, and Joe Walter Estes (Donna) all of Dickson, TN; her grandchildren, Sara Cordle (Billy), Joshua Lee Littleton (Mary Jo), Anna Tipton (Tom), Amanda Peden (JoJo) Rebekah Sesler (Casey) and Laura Beth Estes; her great grandchildren, B.J. Peden, Jacob and Jonah Sesler, Adalina, Walter, Audrey Littleton, and Ryder Estes; her brother, Norris Allen and her sister, Wanda Allen both of Dickson, TN.
