Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your paths straight.

Mrs. Georgia Orange, age 63 of Dickson, TN died on August 16, 2023.

Family Visitation for Mrs. Georgia Orange will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Taylor Funeral Home.  A celebration of her life service is scheduled for Sunday, August 27th at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home.

Georgia Orange was born in Mississippi on July 1, 1960, to the late Pearline Johnson and to late Roosevelt. Susie Pate Scott and Sonny (momma/daddy). Georgia attended Tougaloo College, Delta State University (met husband), and Northwest Community College where she earned her Nursing Degree.

Georgia worked as a nurse. She spent countless years working at NHC Nursing Home, Goodlark/Horizon Medical Center, Maxim, and other nursing facilities. Georgia loved taking care of her patients and regularly went the extra mile to make them feel special and loved.

She was baptized at an early age. Georgia loved and trusted God to provide for all her needs. After moving to TN, she joined St. James A.M.E. Church. She was a choir member, youth worker, lay member, Stewardess and currently was serving as the president of the local Women’s Missionary Society. She led St. James’ effort to participate in Dickson Cancer Auction, Dickson County Relay for Life, and National Day of Prayer. She was an active member of Tulip Chapter 191 Order of the Eastern Star.

Always serving as an inspiration to others, Georgia (Pate) Orange was a wonderful and beautiful soul. As a person of faith, she loved her family dearly. Operating with a swift sense of angelic justice, she was lovable, unselfish, and always thinking of others with a heart firmly nestled on a foundation of Agape love. With a gentle approach to issues and concerns, she brought warmth and comfort to all who sought her advice.

Through our words and stories, we can only offer mere glimpses into the beacon of light that Georgia so brightly shone. Georgia will forever be revered and missed for the positive impact she made upon her family, church, profession, and community.

Today as believers in Christ, we find solace knowing she is in the company of God. She is joyfully greeted by Christ and all the loved ones who have waited patiently to receive her.

As we lovingly celebrate the life of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and confidant, we shall remember her. Georgia leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted and loving husband of forty-one years: Robert Orange: one daughter, her pride and joy Deonna Orange and four grandchildren who were also GG’s pride and joy, Arionna Vanya Orange, Asia-Mariah Orange, R. Preston Orange, and Princeton Amir Orange. Siblings: Sarah Caston, Pinkie Taylor, Bennie (Daisy) Young, and Herbert Sanders, Noble Guy (Niece); Queen Sandifer (John), Donna Johnson (Art), Lenard Johnson (Lisa), Archie Brown (Darleen), Charles Parish, Johnny Johnson (Renee), Lee Marvin Parish.  Her parents and four siblings preceded her in death: Henry Sanders, Willie B.
