A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Blake Douthett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ryes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, all at the funeral home.
Ms. Dollie “Inez” Groves Swaw, age 97 years, of Charlotte, TN, passed peacefully from this life on August 24, 2023, at NHC of Dickson. She was born on January 16, 1926, to the late Jessie M. and Mattie Groves.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: E.W. Swaw, Jr.; her siblings: Jessie F. Groves, Donald Groves, Staley Ray Groves, Cecil Paul Groves, and Bessie Edgin, and great grandson; Trent Harris.
Survivors include her sons: Ernest Ray Swaw (Brenda) and J.W. Swaw, both of Charlotte; grandchildren: Greg Swaw (Marcie), Steve Swaw (Lisa), and Rebecca Lynn Edwards; great grandchildren: Amber Palmore (Johnny), Cheyenne (R.J.) Summers, Dawson Taylor, Kennedy Jewel Taylor, Shea (Roy) Talbert; and her great great grandchildren: Abigail Dolly Palmore, Brooks Parker Palmore, and Jeremiah Tolbert, and a host of nieces and nephews.
