Born in Dickson County, Mrs. Goodwin was the daughter of the late Claude Thomas and Eudora Lee Hardesty Brown. She retired from the printing division of the Interstate Packaging Company and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Goodwin loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved to travel and meet the people in the lands she visited. She also loved to learn of the history of the places she visited and to see their historical markers and monuments. Mrs. Goodwin also loved cooking and reading. She read all types of books and two publications that were special to her were “Mornings with Jesus” (her daily devotional) and “Reader’s Digest.”
She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Quinton Lee “Goody” Goodwin; her siblings, Edith Bellar, Donald Brown, and Farris Meek; nephews, Carlton Bellar and Richard Brown; and a niece, Donna Rutherford.
Survivors include her brother, Nicky Brown (Shirley); Nieces and nephews, Wesley Bellar (Rhonda), Leta Meek (Lee Jones), Martha Morgan, Charlie Meek (Judy), George Meek (Kim), Debbie Brown, Kerry Brown, Jason Brown, and Gloria Dawn Bellar; and her two cats, Sparkle and Twiggy.
