Jay Michael Isenhart, 61, of Ault, Colorado died Sunday August 20, 2023 unexpectedly in his sleep in Dickson, Tennessee while traveling cross country as a pilot car driver.
Jay was born February 9, 1962, in Denver, Colorado the son of John (Jack) and Mary (Frazzini) Isenhart. He married Rebecca Rose Birdsey on January 1, 2008 in Loveland, Colorado.
Jay held several different jobs after graduating from Arvada West High School in 1980, but by far his favorite was his most recent job driving a pilot car for oversized loads. He loved traveling cross country and seeing all of the beautiful scenery this country has to offer. Jay enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, he loved animals - in particular his dogs and cats, fishing, bonfires, gardening, barbeques, NASCAR, bowling and football.
Jay always looked for the beauty in this world. He was a friend to all he met. He loved to share a drink with friends and family and never missed an opportunity to tease you lovingly. He was loved by all and will be sorely missed.
Survivors include his wife, Becca, stepson, Jonathan Redmond, daughter, Brittni Brockman, siblings: Vikki Meddles, Rick (Sandy) Isenhart, Jackie (Steve) Dickey, nieces and nephews: Taylor (Cassidy) Meddles, Erik Meddles (Amin Yakubov), Michael Isenhart (Taylor Straus), Sarah Isenhart (Eric Watts), Jonathan Isenhart, Luke Heffington and Mandi Heffington (Andrew Curtis).
He was preceded in death by his father, John (Jack), mother, Mary and nephew, David Gwinn.

A special thanks to Jay’s boss, Alexis Tournquist and the Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tennessee for bringing Jay home to his family. There will be no services per Jay’s wishes. After cremation his ashes will be scattered by his immediate family members in his favorite mountain location.
