Visitation with the family will take place on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services following the visitation.
Dale Eugene Hafner, age 68, of Dickson, passed away suddenly on August 29, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 14, 1955, in Dickson, TN, to Dillon Eugene Hafner and the late Mary Evelyn Robertson Morgan.
He worked for many years as the grocery store manager at Chappell’s Hometown Foods. Dale genuinely loved his family and the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He enjoyed working on his farm, shopping on eBay, shooting pool, collecting Indian artifacts and fishing.
He leaves behind his wife of over 42 years: Jo Anne Clifton Hafner of Dickson; his children: Jo Dale Hafner (Andrea), Justan Wayne Hafner (Krystal), James Weston Lampley (Melissa), and Karin Michelle Shadowens (Jack), all of Dickson; his father: Dillon Hafner of Dickson; his sister: Kaye Flowers (Danny) of Dickson; his grandchildren: Alex, Jimmy, Hope, Ethan, Brittany, Dillon C., Saydie, Dillon H., Ellie Jo, Levi, Aden, Hailey, and Lacie; his great-grandchildren: Marley, Easton, Jace, Bella, Weston, Charles, James, Scarlett, and Barrhett; and his nieces: Jeana and Danielle.
For those desiring, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
