Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Hillsboro Church of Christ with Mark McInteer officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Graveside services will be at the Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

Frank Edmond Outhier II, age 85, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, evening at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated Pampa High School, Pampa, Texas, attended the University of Oklahoma and was a graduate of Lipscomb University, later obtaining his CPA license. Frank worked with Ernest & Ernst, established his own CPA practice in Nashville, purchased and became President of GP Rose Dog Food Company, later becoming a financial consultant with several Nashville companies.

He served as a deacon of West End Church of Christ and Hillsboro Church of Christ. He was member and chairman of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, member of the American Institute of Public Accountants working on committees of both organizations, and teaching at the New York Tax Institute.

Frank served on the Boards of Community Concerts of Nashville, Alive Hospice of Nashville, and The Fanning Board. He was politically active in statewide campaigns going back to Senator Howard Baker and served on the Tennessee Republican State Executive Committee. He was a loyal Oklahoma Sooner fan, an avid golfer, having played collegiately at Lipscomb University. Most important, he was the coach of his sons’ A’s baseball team in Green Hills.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Barbara Outhier, son Bill (Teresa) Outhier, daughter Carrie (Jonathan) Banks, grandchildren Susannah, Benjamin, Lillie, Bo and Stella, and his sister Ann (Jerry) Erwin. Preceded in death by his parents Carrie and Melburn Outhier and his son Frank Edmond Outhier III.

A life well lived.
