Joshua O’Neal “Josh” Ford, 36, died peacefully on September 21, 2023 in the presence of his family after a brave battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  He is survived by his wife of two years, Ellen Mundy Ford, his mom, Sherry Gibson of White Bluff, his sisters Kelita Baxter, Kristy Ford, Heather Ford, and stepmom Donna Ford - all residents of Dickson County, TN. He was proudly known as “Uncle Josh/Uncle J” to Marlita Baxter, Alexia Harpole (Adam), Chloe Stewart, Jamison Ford, Jayla Ford, Kenric “KC” Pollard, Hagen Self, McCall Self, and great uncle to Bellamy Harpole.  He was preceded in death by his father Wyatt Ford of White Bluff. Josh was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be dearly missed by his community.

Born on February 5,1987, Josh grew up in Dickson County. A graduate of Dickson County High School (class of 2005) & Nashville State Community College, Josh spent the bulk of his career with Lowe’s, serving contractors across the mid-state. Josh fought cancer the same way he lived his life – ALL IN. He loved his wife, his family, his friends, his dogs, his Lord, his TN Vols, and spending time outdoors & on the water. He was known for his sense of humor, his signature laugh, and most importantly, for making everyone around him feel happy, cared for, and loved.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff of Vanderbilt’s 10T3 for the care they provided.
