Born in Nashville, Chuck was the son of the late James Joseph and Elizabeth Walker Bain Traughber. He worked in maintenance at the Flying J Convenience Center in Fairview. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Other interests included cooking for friends and family and watching his favorite football teams, the Tennessee Vols and the Tennessee Titans.
Survivors include two sons, Charles “Chucky” Traughber, Jr. of Nunnelly, and Trever Fuentes of Arizona; twin daughters, Trisha Fuentes and Tressa Fuentes, both of Dickson; four brothers, James “Bubba” Brewster (Norma) of Charlotte, Joseph Traughber (Sabrina) of Scotts Hill, TN, Henry Traughber (Melissa) and Jimmy Traughber (Michelle), all of Nunnelly; one sister, Tammie Traughber of Seattle, WA; and best friend whom he considered a brother, “Steve-O”; five grandchildren, Will Fuentes, Levi Traughber, III, Desiree Fuentes, Nevaeh Traughber, and Elijah Marbut; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his wife of 24 years, Elizabeth “Weezee” Traughber, and by his siblings, Jeffrey Traughber, Roger Traughber, Timothy Traughber, Barbara Bolton, Joyce Ellis, Annie Johnson, Terry Bolton, and Brenda Brewster.
