Mrs. Marian Tidwell Pendergrass, age 79 of Bon Aqua, TN died on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12:30 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. James Parham officiating. Burial will follow at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pendergrass was born at her grandfather’s home on December 23, 1943 in Hickman County, TN. She was a daughter of the late Albert Leon Tidwell, and the late Helen Burneice Beard Tidwell. She was a graduate of Hickman County High School, class of 1962. She was a life-long member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Bon Aqua, TN. She served as the church pianist for over 20 years. She had worked for the former Curtis Mathis store in Dickson, as well as the dental offices of Dr. Gaylon Brown and Dr. Phillip Greene. For many years she was an insurance agent for Woodmen of the World. Above all she loved the Lord and was a wonderful mother and a loving wife for nearly 61 years.
Mrs. Pendergrass is survived by her husband, Roger D. Pendergrass; her son, Barry Scott Pendergrass; her daughter, Angela G. Charlton; her sister, Phyllis Spicer (Garry); and her six grandchildren, Hannah Pendergrass, Gabrielle Charlton, Zachary Charlton, Matthew Charlton, Hope Pendergrass, and Presley Charlton.
