Jimmy Hugh Allsbrooks, age 81 of Dickson, TN died on December 6, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Riley officiating. The burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Houston County, TN. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Crossroads Church of God Children’s Ministry Department.
Jimmy was born January 20, 1942 in Houston County. He was a son of the late Harl H. Allsbrooks and the late Aggie N. Tanner Allsbrooks. Jimmy retired from Teksid, where he worked as a production inspector. He enjoyed bluegrass music and the outdoors, especially deer hunting. He was skilled in leatherworking, making items such as bible covers and belts. Jimmy was a member of the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy in White Bluff, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Pauline Huff, Bud Allsbrooks, John D. Allsbrooks, Manuel Allsbrooks, and Maggie Jewell Averitte; and a sister-in-law, June Allsbrooks.
Mr. Jimmy Allsbrooks is survived by his siblings, Bobby Joe Allsbrooks, Frauline Fullington (David), and Cindy Potts (Kenneth); his extended family, Tim and Jody Hargrove and their children, Chad Hargrove (Elizabeth) and Brad Hargrove (Amy).
