Robert “Bob” Bonds Taylor age 84, of Dickson, TN passed away on December 4, 2023. He was raised in Humboldt, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Spicer Elmo Taylor and Virginia Clare Davis Taylor.
Bob was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. In his younger years, he played bass guitar in a band in Humboldt, TN, and he was also in the National Guard. Bob received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Tennessee Tech University and worked designing and manufacturing industrial training equipment and writing technical training curriculum for approximately 45 years. Some of Bob’s hobbies and interests included: nature watching, dove, duck and deer hunting, fishing, singing, operating a ham radio, and playing Dobro. He was very involved in the Recovery Ministry at Walnut Street Church of Christ where he taught classes for many years and spent the last few years developing a bible study program to help other people find and grow their own faith in God. Bob loved to laugh and tell witty stories and was known for being a very positive person. His love for people was only surpassed by his love for Jesus Christ.
Bob is survived by his wife, Gailya (Gay) Taylor; son Kent Taylor; daughter, Midge Taylor, son, John Clines and his wife, Julie; grandchildren, Taylor Osborne, Jordan Osborne, Savannah Osborne, Cameron Clines, and Olivia Clines.
