Randall Lee McCoy, Sr., age 67, of Bon Aqua, passed from this life on December 9, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 21, 1956, in Nashville, TN, to the late Leroy McCoy and Billie Jean Fitzgerald.

Randy McCoy was a great man who was a friend to anyone that needed one. He spent over 22 years of love and happiness with his wife, Valerie, who raised a beautiful family together. Randy worked hard his whole life. He loved God and his family and his semi trucks. He was also a simple and private man. He wanted things done a certain way, and always took care of business. He was also a huge fan of Andy Griffith. He truly loved his family, friends, his dogs, and enjoyed working with some great people.

Survivors include his wife: Valerie McCoy, also of Bon Aqua; his son: Randall McCoy, Jr. (Hannah) of Lyles; his step-daughter: Alison Smith of Centerville; his brother: Eddie Etheridge of Mississippi; his sisters: Pam McCoy of Mississippi, and Tammy Coonfield of Alabama; his grandchildren: Josai, Savannah, Kaine, Waylon, Scott, Brayden, and Landon; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Those serving as active pallbearers will be: Scott Mangrum, Brayden Mangrum, Landon Mangrum, Tom Tidwell, Donald Myatt, and Dale Castenholtz.

The McCoy family wishes to express their special thanks to Gentiva Hospice Care for their fine care in our time of need. Jennifer LPN and Kim LPN: Randy loved you both and all of the family thanks you all so very much.
