Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Burns Church of Christ. Matthew Hiatt will officiate. The visitation will be on Saturday at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Joel Eleazer, 61, of Brentwood, TN formerly of Dickson, TN passed away on December 7th after a short illness. He was born in Dickson County, son of the late Jackson (Jack) Lee Eleazer and Betty Jane Brown Eleazer. He was a graduate of Dickson County Senior High School and later studied at Lipscomb University and later received his master’s from Middle Tennessee State University. Joel was successful as a computer programmer. His greatest legacy was his family. He and Lisa met at the Antioch Church of Christ when they were working in Nashville, they were married 29 years and had 8 children. He was a member of the Burns Church of Christ.
His kids describe him as a horse of many colors and the life of any party. You could not help but be drawn to him. He loved to make people smile. He loved to jump out and scare them and tell dad jokes. They loved their time working with him on cars; he was a great teacher. They cherish his memories with him at favorite restaurants and solving problems. He was a hard worker who treated everyone right. He loved his motorcycles, and he was the family’s “Big Brown Bear.” He is now working IT at the pearly gates.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa O’Dell Eleazer; his children, Shannon Eleazer, Bridgett Eleazer, Zack Eleazer, Drake Eleazer, Marcus Eleazer, Jacob Eleazer, Jamson Eleazer, Doug Eleazer; his brothers, Jerry Eleazer, Jeff Eleazer, Jackie Eleazer, Jimmy Eleazer.
