Funeral services for Linda Joann Jackson Baker, age 77 of White Bluff, will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Couch officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery in White Bluff. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from noon until service time. Mrs. Baker died unexpectedly Saturday, December 16, 2023.
Born in Warren, Michigan, Linda was the daughter of the late Tom Ed and Mary Elizabeth Hobell Jackson. She retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services and was a member of White Bluff Church of Christ. Linda loved her family and doted on her grandchildren! An avid reader, she enjoyed books immensely and owned many, many of them in her home. Linda also loved to travel--especially to Hawaii and to European countries. And she loved her shopping expeditions in order to “indulge” her grandkids!
Survivors include her husband, James Baker of White Bluff; her three children, Michelle Jackson (Shadd) of White Bluff, James Baker, II (Lyndee) of Pegram, and Joanna Jackson (Shamron) of White Bluff; six grandchildren, Chazz Jackson, Mary Sweat, Ashlee Smith, Claire Jackson, Sarah Jackson, and Aubree Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Memphys, Amarra, Octavia, and Jude; her two sisters, Debbie Taylor and Laurie Parker, both of White Bluff; her brother, James “Butch” Jackson of LaVergne, TN; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
