Jina Marie Daugherty Luther

A graveside service for Jina M Luther, age 65 will be held at Dickson County Memorial Gardens on Friday February 9, 2024 at 1 PM with Bro. Dennie Boren Jr. officiating.
Miss Luther died January 28, 2024 at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA. A native of Burns, TN, she was the daughter of Hulon and Jean Daugherty. Jina spent her grade school years playing basketball in Burns and was a proud 1976 DCHS graduate. She went on to graduate nursing school and spent many years working at St. Thomas and Vanderbilt hospitals. Later in her career, she developed a passion for home health and hospice care comforting many families throughout middle TN. She regularly volunteered for her children’s activities where she was designated as “field nurse” at their ballgames.
Jina was a “diehard democrat”, a lover and a fighter, always passionate about what she believed in. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughter Coral (Josh) Boren of Liberty Lake, WA; son Cody (Ericka) of Spokane, WA; brother James (Debbie) Daugherty of Burns, TN; 3 grandchildren Wyatt, Vincent, and Lilith.
