A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery. The Tidwell family will receive friends on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Tommy Ray Tidwell, age 71 of Bon Aqua, passed away on February 15, 2024, at Horizon Medical Center of Dickson surrounded by his family. He was born on May 1, 1952, in Hickman County, to Nora Stinson Tidwell and the late Clyde Tidwell.
Tommy was a truck driver for many years, most recently driving for Keele Trucking. He was said to have been a big jokester, always poking fun or playing jokes on his family and friends. He attended church at the New Hope Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, TN.
In addition to his father, Tommy was preceded in death by his brother: Steve Tidwell; and a daughter: Emma Lee Ann Fuller.
Survivors include his wife: Sheryl Tidwell of Bon Aqua; his children: Tommy Ray Tidwell, Jr., Clayton Andrew Tidwell (Rebecca), Gregory James Tidwell, and Robert Keele (Mae), all of Bon Aqua, Victoria Lynn Tidwell of Centerville, Mary Kristin Carlo (Danny) of Bell Buckle, Michael Jeremy Cochran (April) of Lyles; his mother: Nora Tidwell, of Kingston Springs; his siblings: Darryl Tidwell (Lisa) of Kingston Springs, Jeff Tidwell of Centerville, Sheila Poteet (Junior Ray) and Vanessa Hinnant (Keith), both of Bon Aqua; several grandchildren and great grandchildren: and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
