Memorial services will be held Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11AM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Pastor Jeffery Norfleet Sr., will give the eulogy. Visitation will begin at 10AM on Friday until the time of service.

David Lamarr Darden “Double D”, age 66, of Dickson, TN passed away on March 12, 2024 with his family by his side.

He was born to the late Albert and Patsy Darden on December 6, 1957. He was born in Charlotte, TN, where he attended Dickson County schools. In his early years he resided in Houston, TX and Nashville, TN. He also spent time in the Army. For many years he spent time as a truck driver traveling from state to state. One that always stood out was J.B Hunt.

He loved his wife, music, his kids, family, his dog Roscoe, fixing up the house, and working in the yard. If you ever went to Grandma’s, he was surely going to give you a good laugh and always had something new going on.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Albert and Patsy Darden, two brothers Sammie and Michael Darden, one sister Carolyn Vaughn, and one grandson Demontae Darden.

 

He leaves to cherish his memory wife Kristy Darden, four children David (Cindel) Darden, Nikeyta (Rob) Spears, Terrence (Amelia) Darden, Jasmine (Larry) Hunt, one sister Michaelyne Darden, brother in law John Vaughn, Michael Lowery, Pete Lowery, 16 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, Aunts Maggie Smith, Mable Darden, Aline Dixon,and Addie Waggoner, close friends/cousins Milton Holt, Richard Darden ,Milton Corlew, Dale Watson, Robert Box Corlew a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
