A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sherwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Sherwood Cemetery Fund.
James Edward Felts, Sr., age 74 of Fairview, TN, passed from this life on March 17, 2024, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was born on January 18, 1950, in Nashville, TN, to the late Johnnie Allen Felts and Mary Ruth Proctor Felts. James worked for Kroger for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Bobby Felts, Sue Underwood, David Felts, Steve Felts, Glenn Felts, Barbara Underwood, and Jerry Felts.
Survivors include his children: James Felts, Jr. of Milton, Florida, Joshua Felts of Nashville, Gidget Miles (Michael) of Murfreesboro, and Amanda Felts of Smyrna; his bonus son: Geno England; his siblings: Ricky Felts of Dickson and Larry Wayne Felts of Cowan, TN; as well as 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
