Jessie “Jiggs” Heggie age 80 of Bon Aqua, TN died on April 11, 2024 at NHC of Dickson, TN.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to an account
Mr. Heggie was born on May 4, 1943 in Charlotte, TN. He was a son of the late Lee Heggie and the late Adell Blackwell Heggie.
“Jiggs” was a talented craftsman. He was employed as a construction worker and builder with Fred and Mark Neil for 30 years. He was hard working, dedicated, a man of his word and loyal to a fault. Known as “Mr. Fixit”, always tinkering with something or finding some way to stay busy. Often, his wife, Grace would dream up an idea that he would build into reality. He enjoyed being outdoors, but his true love was his family. He would brag about his family to anyone that would listen. He would never leave them wanting for anything. He was always such a friendly and generous person. Always cracking jokes and grinning. He never met a stranger.
Jessie was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Louise Davidson Heggie; his son, Jason Heggie; his siblings, James Donald, Norris, Grandon, Nell, Gene, and Deborah.
Mr. Heggie is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Heath (Michael), and Jessica Caher (Jeremey); brothers, Jerry, Tony, Joe, and David; sisters, Nancy Davidson, and Mary Ann Satterfield; six grandchildren, Kylea Heath, Montana Heggie, Anthony Heggie, Sydney Heggie, Grayson and Everly Caher. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
