Raymond Elmoe “Moe” Collier, age 86 of Lyles, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 20, 2024.
Raymond was born to the late Clarence E. Collier and Addie Mae (Duke) Collier on August 21, 1938, in White Oak Flats, TN (Dickson County). Moe was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved God with all his heart and served him daily. He always had a big smile and joke for everyone. He served his community. He coached baseball, softball and was a boy scout leader for many years. He was also one of the first graduation classes of Fairview High School.
He served as magistrate for Williamson County for 12 years and was instrumental for many programs in Fairview today. He loved teaching Royal Ambassadors in church and loved working with the youth, as well as special needs individuals. He served as Deacon at Fairview First Baptist, Old New Hope Baptist, Eastside Baptist, and Dickson First Baptist. He and his wife did disaster relief and campers on mission.
He loved gardening and tending to his cows. He also loved woodworking and made Christmas ornaments, bowls, and pens on his lathe. He retired from Bellsouth/AT&T with well over 20 years of service and was known by most as the “telephone man.” Moe’s outlook on life was to serve the Lord, enjoy and love his family, serve his country in the United States Army and his community, and serve and help anyone that he could.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Marshal Collier (Pat) and William Henry Collier (Reba).
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Stella Louise (Sullivan) Collier, son, Bruce D. Collier (Jennifer), daughters Susan G. Stinson (Roy), Karen L. Redding (Jeff), Janet Daniels, brothers, Jimmy Collier (Sharon), Douglas Collier (Betty), 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
