Danny J. Williams, age 73 of Dickson, TN, died on Sunday, December 8, 2024 with family by his side.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Baggett officiating.  His place of rest will be in the McElhiney Cemetery.  The visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.  For those desiring, memorials or food donations may be made to the Walnut Street Church of Christ Food Pantry.

Danny was born on July 16, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan.  He was a son of the late Seth O’Neal Williams and the late Maxine Roberts Williams Baker.

Danny was incredibly caring and generous.  He went beyond simply “loving people”, he actively demonstrated love through many acts of service including but now limited to the Dickson County Help Center and Walnut Street Church of Christ.  He believed and supported the mission of the WSCOC Food Pantry program.  He eagerly seized the opportunity to provide snacks and meals, and often they were complete strangers.  He enjoyed engaging in conversation with people.  His comical personality and his smile were an uplifting presence.  In essence, he loved people, and he made people feel loved.  His family was his world, oh how he adored his grandchildren.  A cornerstone of his family and a huge pillar of his hometown community, Danny made his final journey home. To say he will be missed is an understatement. He taught us how to be selfless, hardworking and to love with all your heart. The amount of love he has given to his family and community will never be matched.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Terri Batey Williams; his daughters Leah Peeler (Eric), and Bekah Pass; his brother, Billy O. Williams (Cyndee); his sister, Regina Kimbro; his grandchildren, Molly Rye (Kenan), Owen Peeler, Graham Peeler, Griffin Pass, Hudson Pass, Evan Pass; great grandchild, Korbin Mitchell Rye.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Baker and Tony Baker; and a grandchild, Carley.
