Wallace Ray "Wally" Lankford

Funeral services will be Friday November 22, 2024 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday November 21st from 4 to 8 PM and on Friday from 11 AM until time of service. Those desiring memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
Wallace Ray “Wally” Lankford, age 59 of Dickson, TN passed away Monday November 18, 2024. Born in Nashville, TN he was the son of the late Ernest Ray and Elizabeth “Liz” Hickman Lankford and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack & Catherine Lankford and Lillian Bruce Hickman. Wally had worked many different places through the years some including, Tennsco, Avco, Quebecor, TVA, owned his own landscaping business and for the last 20 years as an equipment operator. He loved to fish and cook for family. It wasn’t unusual to go by and see Wally and Ryan working on a truck or cleaning a mess of fish on the patio. He always showed up with a smile on his face and a ton of positive energy for every situation.

Survivors include his son, Ryan Lankford of Dickson, TN; brother, Kerry Lankford (Renee) of Dickson, TN; sisters, Sherry Sensing of Dickson, TN, Penny Lankford of Nashville, TN; aunt, Mary Ann Lankford of Dickson, TN; nieces and nephews, John Davis, Emily Summers, Jeremy Jones, Jorie Kersey; great nephew, Jase Davis.
