Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will take place on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Robert Steven Oliphant, age 73 of Dickson, passed from this life on January 18, 2025, at NHC of Dickson. He was born in Dickson on January 5, 1952, to the late Ernest Eugene Oliphant, Jr. and Elizabeth Jo Work Oliphant.
He worked in several different careers, including driving a truck and working for Gibson Guitars. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: John Wayne Oliphant, Sr. and Linda Oliphant Williams.
Survivors include his sister: Judy Wall of Cumberland Furnace; his nephews: Jeff Walton (Pat) of Clarksville, Joe Wall, Jr. (Candice) of Cumberland Furnace, John W. Oliphant, Jr. of Nashville, Jason Oliphant (Jamie) Kenya; his nieces: Shari Wright (Eric) of Dickson and Andrea Lampley (Dan) of Fairview; sister-in-law: Robbie Oliphant of Burns; brother-in-law: Neal Williams of Burns. Also surviving are several great nieces and great nephews, and one great-great niece.
