A graveside service will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the J. Warren Cemetery in Humphreys County.
Jessie Vernell “Nell” Daniel Story, age 94 formerly of Dickson, passed away on March 17, 2025, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Gallatin, TN. She was born on March 6, 1931, in Tishomingo, MS, to the late Jessie Andrew Daniel and Veatice Williams Daniel.
Nell retired after many years as a secretary from Mississippi State University. She was a faithful member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Story; several siblings and her grandson: Justin Vincent.
Survivors include her children: Rick Story (Cindy) of Bellevue, Pam Vincent (Don) of Gallatin, and Nancy Thomas (Danny) of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren: Jessie Pernell (Austin), Tucker Vincent (Baylie), Jacob Thomas (Jordan), Ethan Thomas (P.J.), Thomas Story, William Story (Shelby); and her great-grandchildren: Beckham Pernell, Beau Pernell, Henry Thomas and Jack Vincent.
