James Edward Hammon, age 71 of Dickson, TN died on May 2, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Hammon, known to many as “Polack,” was born July 15, 1953 in Fairview, TN. He was a member of the Burwood Community for over 40 years before moving to Dickson. He was a son of the late Hubert Hammon and the late Nellie Tidwell Hammon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Trevar Reed Hammon; and a great grandchild, Joy Brown.
He retired from the Williamson County Highway Department with 28 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and telling a good joke.
Mr. Hammon is survived by his wife, Mary Plemons Hammon; his daughter, Cinda Brown (Derek); son, James Patrick Hammon; siblings, Thomas Hammon (Shirley) and Mildred Phillips (Dewey); 3 grandchildren, Taylor Brown (Ally), Ashlyn Brown, Addison Brown; 3 great grandchildren, Gatlin, Mason, and McCallan; and special great nephew, Trent Tomlin.
