A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Pastor Wes Sesler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery in Dickson. Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Nicky Harris Brown, age 83 of Dickson, passed from this life on June 16, 2025, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly. He was born on January 15, 1942, in Dickson to the late Claude and Eudora Hardesty Brown. Nicky worked for CSX Railroad as a Track Repairman for many years. He was better known as “Pops” to his four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Nicky was preceded in death by his siblings: Edna Goodwin, Edith Bellar, Farris Meek, and Donald Brown; as well as a grandchild: Holly Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Shirley Brown; his children: Jason Brown (Jessica) and Kerry Brown (Dawn) both of Dickson; and his grandchildren: Evie Brown, Chloe Brown, Allie Brown, and Logan Brown.
