Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 12 Noon from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Butch Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4PM until 8PM and on Saturday beginning at 10AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Johnny Dale Caldwell, age 62, of Dickson, TN, devoted husband, loving father, loyal brother, and the world’s best uncle, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and simple joys.
He was born on July 9, 1963, in Waynesville, N.C. to the late Jack Caldwell and Lena Crawford Caldwell. He served in the United States Army. He was the Vice President of Construction Administration for Inman Food Services. John found happiness in the little things- freshly mowed grass, a front porch full of family, and the coolness of a cherry slush from Sonic. His greatest joy came from being present- whether cheering on his daughter, nieces, and nephews at ball games, sharing quiet conversations with loved ones, or just soaking in the world from his front porch chair.
He was the kind of man who showed up. For family. For friends. For life.
John’s warmth, humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the countless memories of his unwavering love and the simple, beautiful way he lived.
A life well-lived. A man well-loved.
Rest easy, John. We’ll keep your seat on the porch warm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Caldwell, sister-n-law, Betty Ferrell, and mother-in-law, Brenda Sue Richardson.
