Wilma was born on May 6, 1936 in Bon Aqua, TN. She grew up working on the family farm, which created a foundation for the hardworking, strong southern lady she became. Wilma retired from Tennessee Christian Medical Center, ending a 40-year career in nursing. During her working career, she attended services at the First Baptist Church of Madison, TN, and afterwards she worshipped at the New Hope Baptist Church in Bon Aqua. She enjoyed gardening and canning what she harvested. She loved to cook and entertain visiting family and guests. Wilma was active in her community, participating in the Red Hat Society, FCE, and supporting Helping Hands of Hickman County.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Alice Jordan Tidwell; her husband, Albert Ernest Sullivan, Jr.; a son, Scott Sullivan; siblings, Lovene Hancock, Mazel Welch, Derryl Tidwell, Elbert Tidwell, Helen Tidwell, and Troy Tidwell.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Sullivan Carpenter; son-in-lawy, Scott Carpenter; brother, Coy Tidwell; sisters, Faye Robinson and Fern Arnold; Dawn Sundown who she loved like a granddaughter. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
