Wayne Finley Mills, age 83, of Dickson, TN, was born on March 7, 1942, and died on July 27, 2025.
It’s a horribly beautiful coincidence that he died on the anniversary of his first wife’s death, Sylvia, who died on July 27, 1990.
Mr. Happy (nicknamed by the mystical powers of the late-great Phil “ShellBob” Shelton) was an extraordinary man. He retired from AT&T in 2004 after 31 years, but he never stopped working. He loved staying busy, building things, and helping family and friends. Wayne led by example and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He was the best son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, and he was the best damn phone man in the world!
If you were lucky, he insulted you often because that just meant he liked you.
Family and friends will gather at Taylor Funeral Home on Thursday, July 31, 2025, between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM for fellowship and to share memories of a great man.
