A devoted Christian and member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ. She was the very definition of unwavering faith, our mother raised four daughters as a single parent — a task she embraced with grace, strength, and boundless love. She poured her heart and soul into her family, and we were the blessed recipients of her fierce love, steady guidance, and gentle wisdom.
She had a joyful spirit that could brighten any room. Whether she was baking something warm and sweet from her kitchen, laughing until tears came to her eyes, or turning life’s burdens into moments of light, she taught us all how to find joy in the everyday. Her laughter was contagious, and her ability to find humor in hard times was one of her greatest gifts.
Mom loved children deeply — not just her own, but all those who crossed her path. She was a people person through and through: friendly, social, and full of life. She never met a stranger, only a friend she hadn’t made yet.
Her passions were simple and beautiful. She loved music that lifted the soul, the colors and scents of fresh flowers, and the quiet satisfaction of working in her yard — hands in the dirt, heart full. Her life was a reflection of her faith: vibrant, giving, and rooted in love.
More than anything, she loved her daughters. We were her pride, her joy, and her purpose. She poured everything she had into us, and we carry her legacy with honor.
She is survived by her four daughters, Donna Lynn Dyar, Karen June Jamian, Annitta Jo Baggett, Charlotte Dawn Wall; three sons-in-law, Bryan Dyar, Doug Jamian, and Jamey Baggett; six grandchildren, Ben Austin Buttrey (wife Ashley), Dallas Clark Brown, Hayden Davis Wall, Shaina Beth Wall, Wyatt Daniel Baggett, Levi Jake Baggett (wife Ashlyn); two great grandchildren, Ila Catherine Buttrey and Layne Austin Dean Buttrey, and many dear friends and extended family who were touched by her warmth and spirit.
Special thanks to Mom’s beloved caregivers: Patti Harris, Karla Garcia, and Amanda Reynolds.
